We offered our first MELTⓇ mini-series in April to introduce the benefits of adding MELTⓇ to an existing Pilates practice. Destinie led participants through MELTⓇ Method mindfulness and breathwork techniques and saw tension literally melt out of their bodies.
We all have our “bag of rocks” as the Pilates world likes to say. Destinie has one tight hip and one loose hip. Nicole’s left shoulder blade is as sticky as glue. All of us are just trying to make our way through the world with outdated ventral brains that cause our nervous systems to react to a leaky toilet in the same way it once reacted to a saber-tooth tiger. It’s tough being a modern human!
Sometimes, we show up to Pilates with “omg a saber-tooth tiger is chasing me” energy and we do Pilates because it helps combat the effects of such daily stress. But, what if we can start Pilates from a calmer, less tense place where we’re more tuned in with our bodies? This is where MELTⓇ comes in.
