Take a second to look in your Pilates rearview mirror. So far Monday at 12PM themes have covered:
- Frames of reference: do you remember your planes of motion?
Refresher: sagittal, frontal, transverse - Transitions: have you felt more confident flipping onto your belly since February?
Refresher: remember to find your ab-series stomach in swan - The classical order: do you have a love/ hate relationship with March Matness?
Refresher: the prone series exercises in order are: swan dive, single leg kick and double leg kick.
That’s a lot and it takes two to Pilates tango, so thank you for showing up with us and doing the work. From Pilates in Common to you – *pat on the back*
With April here, and spring is in the air, we’ll explore the benefits from having a stronger upper body.
Monday, April 3rd @ 12PM with Mollie:
Monday classes will focus on “handstands,” not necessarily the one above, but more along the lines of upper body strength and strategy in the Pilates mat repertoire. Yes, a strong upper body might eventually lead to some killer breakdance moves or creating human sculptures but even if this isn’t your goal, everyone can benefit from having a stronger upper body. We’ll begin this exploration tomorrow so please feel free to bring your questions, concerns or personal goals as they relate to the upper half of the body. Looking forward to seeing you on the mat!
Wednesday, April 5th @ 8AM with Mollie:
Grab Bag! Destinie will be back next week so bring on the tough questions and unreasonable requests while you’re still saddled with a sub. I’ve so enjoyed my time with this amazing group of dedicated students. If you haven’t tried morning Pilates - make this the week you give it a go!
