You’ve probably heard that phrase “turn that frown upside down?” It’s a bit patronizing and technically incorrect, so we’d like to give a little adjustment. Let’s “invert that frown upside down!” #nerds
As some of you may know, the classical Pilates mat order has inversions sprinkled throughout like: roll over, rolling like a ball, corkscrew, etc. Inversions can be intimidating, but fear not, even if you can’t or don’t invert, learning about the muscles and strength required to turn yourself upside down helps your overall Pilates practice.
Both Monday and Friday with address the same theme. Practice makes better so come to both!

The reverse upper-ab curl. Say that ten times fast! Curling the spine up and against gravity happens from the head first and from the tail first; one is more challenging than the other and leads to an inversion (hint: the latter). Today’s class is all about learning how to control the pelvis to invert the spine. Bring your full-size bath towel.
