For all the Seinfeld fans out there, we’re about to ask a very Jerry question – what’s the deal with the one-rep mat? 

Well, since we’re all excellent Pilates practitioners, we know that the best way to tackle something big is to start small. What are the pieces that make up the one-rep mat? 

The flow of this mat variation goes a little something like this: 

100s x 1

100s x 1 + Roll Up x 1

100s x 1 + Roll Up x 1 + Single Leg Circle x 1

100s x 1 + Roll Up x 1 + Single Leg Circle x 1 + Rolling Like a Ball x 1

This sequence continues on through all 34 Pilates mat exercises if you’re doing an advanced flow, meaning…you’ll do 100s THIRTY FOUR times. Our abdominals light up just thinking about it! But, that’s the point! Remember that August’s class theme is STAMINA, and the one-rep mat is a masterclass in building just that.

NO CLASS TODAY. 

For all you dedicated 8-AMers out there, Destinie has personal matters to attend to so she won’t be teaching class in September. But, Mollie will sub this class on 9/13 and 9/27 and Destinie will be back in October!
