I’m sure you’ve heard the saying that “Pilates is where mind meets body.” But what really connects the two from exercise to exercise? Hint: the answer starts with a “B.” If you guessed, breath, you are correct! In Pilates, our breath acts as a bridge between conscious movement and unconscious physiological functions, and sometimes is the only thing that gets us through all five exercises of the abdominal series.
